Kia ora e te whānau,
Welcome back to Term 4! I hope you all enjoyed a well-deserved break and some quality time with whānau and friends. It’s wonderful to see our tamariki return with smiles, ready for another busy and exciting term of learning, fun, and kindness.
This term is always full of activity as we celebrate the progress and achievements of the year, and begin to plan and prepare for the year ahead. Together, we’ll make the most of these final weeks — continuing to learn, grow, and support one another as a caring school community.
Thank you for all you do to make our kura such a special place. Let’s finish the year with energy, respect and celebration.
Last Tuesday afternoon, we gathered to celebrate and thank a very special group of people – our outgoing Board of Trustees. A dedicated and enthusiastic team who generously gave their time, expertise and skills, for the last 3 years, to govern our school.
They supported our staff, backed our learners, and walked alongside whānau — ensuring our kura remains a place where every child feels they belong and has opportunities to thrive, where whānau feel heard and included and where staff feel appreciated and valued.
As a symbol of our thanks, we presented each of them with a native tree — taonga that has been planted, on their behalf, in our school grounds, growing strong and enduring, just like the contribution they have made to our kura and our community.
Each tree will stand as a living reminder of their mahi, commitment, and the deep roots they helped nurture here.
