It’s hard to believe how fast this term is flying by! Our ākonga have been involved in all sorts of exciting and meaningful experiences — and there’s still plenty more to come.
✨ Pink Shirt Day
Last Friday’s Pink Shirt Day was such a fantastic celebration of kindness, inclusion, and standing up to bullying. Thank you to everyone who got involved — it was a powerful reminder of the values we share as a school community.
🌱 Leadership & Learning
Today, our amazing School Leaders represented our kura at the National Young Leaders Day in Palmerston North. Tomorrow, they’ll be attending a special commemoration afternoon at Ngāti Apa / Ngā Wairiki — a wonderful opportunity for connection and learning.
🎀 Pink Ribbon Appeal – This Thursday
Let’s show our support for the Pink Ribbon Appeal by wearing pink accessories with our school uniforms this Thursday. If you’d like to, please send along a gold coin donation — every little bit helps.
🌳 Forest Classroom Visit – Next Wednesday
We’re thrilled to be hosting teachers from around our region next Wednesday for a professional learning day in our very own Forest Classroom. It’s always inspiring to share the magic of outdoor learning with others.
🎉 Whole School Assembly – Next Friday
We’re looking forward to coming together for our whole-school assembly next Friday. These moments are always a highlight — celebrating achievements and sharing what we’ve been learning.
📚 Mid-Year Assessments & Reports
Over the coming weeks, our tamariki will be involved in classroom assessments as teachers gather important information on their learning progress. These assessments help us prepare mid-year reports, which will be coming home in Week 9 — keep an eye out!
💬 Wellbeing Focus
As part of our ongoing commitment to wellbeing, our Senior Leadership Team — Jen, Theresa, and I — are currently conducting a self-review of how we support the wellbeing of both our kaiako (teachers) and tamariki.
We are conducting this review to better understand how staff and students are feeling, identify areas where support is needed, and ensure our school environment promotes positive mental health, engagement, and overall well-being. This review will help us make informed decisions, strengthen our current support systems, and create a healthier, more supportive place to learn and work.
We welcome any feedback you wish to share — your insights are an important part of making our kura the best it can be.

Thank you for your ongoing support. It’s a privilege to walk alongside you and your tamariki on this learning journey.
Ngā manaakitanga,
Megan Syme
