Kia ora e te whānau,
As this term comes to a close, we can be proud of all that has been achieved together. Over the past 10 weeks we have faced challenges and overcome them, celebrated successes, taken part in school and community events, given back to others, and shown real growth — not just academically, but also socially and emotionally. It has truly been a term that reflects the strength and spirit of our school and community.
This week we also mark another very significant event. After 19 years of service and commitment, we farewell our Principal, Kim Gordon, who has tendered her resignation to the Board of Trustees. Her dedication and vision have had an immeasurable impact on our school and wider community. Over nearly two decades, she has worked relentlessly to improve the education for ākonga here in our school and across the region — no small achievement in today’s complex and ever-changing world, where expectations continue to grow and access to and availability of support diminishes. Through her leadership, our school has become a place where inclusivity thrives, and where our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi is genuinely brought to life in daily practice. Her courage, innovation, and aroha have shaped a legacy that we will carry forward with pride and gratitude. Kim, your leadership, vision, and aroha have shaped this school and touched the lives of so many ākonga, whānau, and staff. We are sincerely grateful for everything you have achieved at our school over the past 19 years. We wish you all the very best in all the new adventures that await you in your future and we know that whatever they are, you will continue to inspire and make a lasting difference. Nga mihi nui ki a koe, tō mātou hoa, tō mātou kaiako, tō mātou rangatira. Ka maharatia.

We also say thank you to our Board of Trustees members who are finishing their time of service. Their commitment and guidance have been deeply appreciated, and we look forward to welcoming new members as the election results are confirmed.
It has been a huge term for our ākonga, kaimahi, and whānau. With so much happening, the holidays will be a welcome chance to rest, recharge, and enjoy time together. We wish you two weeks filled with fun and family, and we look forward to seeing everyone back for an exciting Term 4.
Kia harikoa, kia haumaru te hararei – Have a happy and safe holiday.
