2023 Term 3 Week 10

Tēnā koutou katoa,

As our busy term comes to an end, it is time to take a breath and have a well-earned holiday.  It’s also a good time to say a huge thanks to our students, families, teachers, and community.  The various exciting and engaging learning opportunities our tamariki are able to participate in, during the term, would not be possible without the combined effort of us all.

It is awesome to be able to offer so many opportunities both inside and outside the classroom for our learners to participate in. These opportunities certainly make school a fun and exciting place to be.

I wish you all a very happy and safe holiday.  Enjoy the 2-week break from school, where you can have a change of pace and routine, and hopefully get some well-deserved rest and relaxation.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa

Megan Syme,

P.S.  As many of you may have already heard we offer a huge congratulations to Miss G who became GG to her first mokopuna last week.   Koah was born happy and healthy (and very cute)  last Thursday.   Kim is spending this precious time with him and his parents.

Quads Sports – A big day out for our Year 5 – 8’s at the Cluster Quad Sports Tournament. Our students showed excellent sportsmanship, determination, and a massive heart! A huge thank you to our coaches, especially those in the lead-up, refs, parents, and supporters for joining in on the fun day. Years 5/6 results – Bulls came away with a 1st in the Rippa Rugby, 2nd in Hockey, 3rd in Netball, and 4th in the Football. Years 7/8 – Bulls came away with 3rd in Rugby and 2nd in Hockey

POU TĀHŪ

We have had a great learning term and have enjoyed seeing more of our whānau in our classes as your tamariki show you some of their learning that has been happening. Next term is going to start with a bang as we are very excited about our upcoming trip to Palmerston North in Week 2. Thank you to the parents who have offered to come along and help with supervision on the day! We will send a reminder early next term with what your child needs to bring on the day 🙂

BASKETBALL

Well done to our two school Basketball teams, the Bounce-a-Bulls and Basket-Bulls, on your success in the inaugural local basketball competition.

Lunch in School

The Ministry provides free healthy lunches daily, you will need to provide morning tea and a water bottle for your child. Please let the office know of any dietary requirements, alternatively, you can opt-out of the Lunch Scheme by contacting the office and then provide your own healthy lunch.
